Another Texan

Postby Shauna » Thu Feb 04, 2010 12:47 pm

Hey Y'all, allow me to re-introduce myself. I'm Shauna and I was on here some time ago but that's more than a year or so ago now. I live in Plano with my hubby of 13 years (Mike) and our one and only awesomest son ever Damon. He went to a half day private Christian kindergarten but since then we've HS. He is 10 years old and I suppose technically in the 4th grade. So hello to all! It's great to be back :veryhappy

Welcome! :wave Glad to have another Texan on board. :yay I was in your neck of the woods yesterday. If I knew of you I could have waved. Yes, I know I don't know where exactly you live but I could still wave in the direction of Plano. ;) I'm not a full blown Texan, but lived here most of my life and we are down here for several weeks annually. Hey, you know we're getting a lot of DFW area ladies around here that we could have a real hoot'n anny (have no idea how to spell that, but seems appropriate for the region).

Wonderful group of ladies here and as we always say, there is no such thing as a stupid, silly or dumb question. We've all asked these at some point and are glad to be on the giving end of advice and counsel.

Now, it's time for a couple of very important questions:

1. How do you like your steaks?
2. White, Milk or Dark Chocolate?

:wave Hi Shauna! My only claim to TX is that dh & I met & were married in Houston (I lived there for about 18mos). And I agree with Cheryl, you all should have a "hoot'n anny" down there, it sounds like a great time!

Oh, and rare steaks for me with dark chocolate!

WELCOME back, Shauna!! So glad you came back!! :veryhappy
Sorry I wasn't here to re-welcome you when you arruved... but happy you did...

How are liking the historic snowfall? I'm just south of downtown Fort Worth (about 5-8 min. drive) and we got 6-8"... although I'm sad to say, it's clumpily falling out of the trees, bit by bit... but it was *wonderful* while it lasted -- I just love snow!! :cheering

1) milk chocolate here, also
2) medium rare - with a wisp of red in the middle
3) and so how did you find us?

I absolutely LOVED the snow. We had such a blast playing in it. I was really sad to see it go. I think I found you when you gave a workshop at the Homeschool conference at the Plano Center a few years back. I got your book and registered for the site. I guess over the years as we got busier and busier I kind of forgot about the site. It's nice to be back!
