The One Year Book of Devotions for Boys by Debbie Bible and Betty Free. ~ My nephew (age 11) is using this devotional and he loves it. My brother says it is the first one he has really enjoyed without having to be "forced" to do it. (Posted by HeartSchool)
The Big Book of Questions and Answers. It covers basic Bible doctrines like, Where did I come from? What is God like? Is there only one God? There is a section on the Beatitudes, another on prayer, including phrase-by-phrase working through the Lord's Prayer, etc. (Posted by Ellen)

365 Read-Aloud Bedtime Bible Stories– (Posted by JaeByrd)
The Golden Children's Bible - a nice illustration on each (very large) page, but lots of good text, too. And it's not a heavily edited story, either - they don't skip much. (Posted by Mingo)
Egermeier’s Bible Story Book – a standard Bible used in many elementary curricula. The stories are fairly complete, edited to exclude the more difficult issues (Lot’s daughter, for example), but not terribly simplified.
Children Desiring God – Children’s family devotional produced by Bethlehem Baptist Church (John Piper) (Posted by Jenny K)
Polished Cornerstones published by Doorposts, a company that focuses on Biblical child rearing. This particular offering is focused on Proverbs 31 and is adaptable for girls of all ages, 5 and up. There is also a version for boys, Plants Grown Up.
